Institute of Advanced Study

The Institute of Advanced Study (IAS) at the University of Warwick was established in 2007 and is dedicated to advancing new research ideas characterised by interdisciplinarity, innovation and Internationalisation. We aim to creating synergies between traditional research disciplines, facilitate activities that realise the full value of our ideas and connect Warwick researchers with partners around the world. The IAS supports the entire research community at Warwick and, in addition to hosting prestigious international visitors, also provides support for early career researchers who are developing an academic career and is part of the EUTOPIA-SIF fellowship programme with our partners in the EUTOPIA European University. The IAS also provides support for academic colleagues who are seeking to develop new interdisciplinary research ideas & networks. The IAS typically host 40-50 postdoctoral research fellows and over 50 international visitors each year in addition to supporting numerous projects and activities from academic colleagues at Warwick.
