In April 2021, the Institute of Advanced Studies at Aix-Marseille University (France) virtually hosted the 6th UBIAS Directors' Conference.

In October 2020, the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo (Brazil) virtually hosted the UBIAS Directors' Pre-Conference.

In March 2018, the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo (Brazil) hosted the 5th UBIAS Directors' Conference.
4th UBIAS Directors' Conference
In March 2016, the University of Birmingham's Institute of Advanced Studies (United Kingdom) hosted the 4th UBIAS Directors' Conference.
3rd UBIAS Directors' Conference
In November 2014, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at the National Taiwan University (Taiwan) hosted the 3rd UBIAS Directors' Conference.
2nd UBIAS Directors' Conference
In March 2013, the Israel Institute for Advanced Study in Jerusalem (Israel) hosted the 2nd UBIAS Directors' Conference.
Founding Conference 2010
In October 2010, the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (Germany) hosted the world’s first conference of University-based Institutes for Advanced Study (UBIAS). By popular request, the results were recently collected in a brochure. The conference proceedings include a written version of the opening remarks as well as a summary of the main topics and questions that were discussed in the working sessions.
