Instituto de Estudos Avançados (IDEA)

The Institute for Advanced Studies (IDEA) at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) was created in July 2017. It is a space of free creation focused on cutting-edge reflections in the different fields of scientific knowledge, culture, and the arts in Brazil and abroad. The Institute provides an environment of study, research, and scientific-cultural exchanges of a fundamentally multidisciplinary and international bias, open to a wide range of subjects, highlighting those that reach the limits of known paradigms. For the accomplishment of its objectives, the IDEA welcomes researchers and artists from Brazil and abroad, who will interact with the academic community of UNICAMP while developing qualified projects.
