Call for Hans Fischer Senior, Hans Fischer, Rudolf Diesel Industry, Carl von Linde Senior and Anna Boyksen Fellowships

The Institute for Advanced Study of Technische Universität München (TUM-IAS) is part of TUM’s institutional strategy to promote top-level research in the so-called Excellence Initiative by the German federal and state governments. TUM-IAS awards Fellowships to distinguished researchers and gives them the necessary time and financial support to explore new venues, to develop novel research areas and to establish intensive international collaborations.

TUM-IAS invites applications for Fellowships in the categories of international Hans Fischer Senior and Hans Fischer, Rudolf Diesel Industry as well as gender- and diversity-oriented Anna Boyksen Fellowships.

Outstanding international scientists who intend to explore innovative, high-risk topics in their scientific research areas together with a TUM Research Group are eligible for a TUM-IAS Hans Fischer Senior / Hans Fischer Fellowship.

Highly qualified researchers from industry with a strong connection to TUM Research Groups are eligible for a Rudolf Diesel Industry Fellowship. TUM-IAS especially welcomes applications from companies from outside Germany.

Outstanding international scientists who intend to explore gender- and diversity-relevant problems with regard to the natural and engineering sciences together with a TUM Research Group are eligible for an Anna Boyksen Fellowship.

TUM-IAS explicitly encourages nominations of and applications from women as well as from all others who would bring additional diversity dimensions to the university’s research and teaching strategies.

Applications are to be submitted via email to the TUM-IAS office by October 26, 2014.
