2014/15 Fellowships at the Institute of Advanced Study, Durham University

Applications are invited for up to 20 Fellowships at Durham University's Institute of Advanced Study for 2014-15.

The Institute of Advanced Study is Durham University’s leading interdisciplinary research institute. Launched in 2006, the IAS brings together distinguished international scholars from across the disciplinary spectrum to catalyse new thinking on major annual research themes. The theme for 2014-15 is Emergence, interpreted in its broadest sense as being applicable to events, to ideas and to physical processes.

Applications are now invited for up to 20 three-month Fellowships linked to this theme (October-December 2014 and January-March 2015). Applicants may be scholars, writers or artists from any disciplinary or professional area, and from anywhere in the world. IAS Fellowships include travel, accommodation, an honorarium and (where appropriate) costs associated with replacement teaching or loss of salary.

Deadline: 09 June 2013
